Freshmade Wins 60th Annual GDUSA Packaging Award For Furtify Design

CPG Branding and Packaging design agency Freshmade has been recognized with a 2023 GDUSA American Package Design Award for its work on the branding and packaging of Furtify, a new line of vegan pet supplements launching direct-to-consumer.

The annual GDUSA American Package Design Awards showcase innovation and excellence in consumer packaging across industries. Freshmade took top honors for the Furtify project which faced the challenge of differentiation within the rapidly growing yet crowded pet care marketplace.

Central to Freshmade’s design was emphasizing Furtify’s unique selling proposition of aroma-forward, pleasant-tasting supplements. Vibrant colors and appetizing photography cue the sweet scent and flavor. The label’s rounded typography and considerate messaging also work together to create an empathetic, emotive brand experience – reassuring anxious pet parents on their consumer journey seeking health solutions. 

“As more brands compete for share in the pet category, standing out in a noisy digital environment and conveying your value and purpose clearly is critical. We strategically developed the packaging design system for Furtify to help them breakthrough in the market with empathy while still communicating efficacy,” remarked Freshmade Founder and Creative Director, David Edmundson.

The 2023 GDUSA American Package Design Awards received thousands of entries.
